Introduction

SSC CHSL Apply Online 2024 the Government of India has released the official notification for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 10+2) Examination on 8th April 2024. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to conduct this exam between June and July 2024. The purpose of the SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam 2024 is to fill positions like Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO), and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) across various Ministries, Departments, and Offices under the Government of India.

SSC CHSL 2024 Exam Procedure:

SSC CHSL Apply Online 2024 test will include a Computer-Based Exam (Tier-I), a Descriptive Paper (Tier-II), and a Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) for the positions of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), and Lower Division Clerk.

Tier-II is a Descriptive Paper with a total of 100 marks, conducted in ‘Pen and Paper Mode’. The exam lasts for one hour, with an additional 20 minutes provided as compensatory time. This paper evaluates candidates’ writing abilities essential for government roles. It includes writing an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/Application of about 150-200 words. To pass Tier-II, candidates must score at least 33%. The scores from Tier-II contribute to the overall merit list. Candidates can choose to write the paper in either Hindi or English, but mixing both languages in one paper will lead to disqualification.

Tier-III, the Skill Test/Typing Test, is a qualifying round. The nature of this test aligns with the guidelines provided. The final merit list is based on the combined scores of Tier-I and Tier-II.

For Data Entry Operator Skill Test:

  1. Typing speed requirement is 8,000 key depressions per hour on a computer.
  2. For Data Entry Operator post in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): Speed Test should not be less than 15,000 key depressions per hour, tested on a computer.
